Metta Development Foundation took part in the Asia and Pacific Future Smart Foods held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 28-30, 2018. The events aimed to showcase the rich agro-biodiversity, food diversity, and cultural identity of countries in Asia and the Pacific by presenting the multidimensional benefits (especially high nutrients) of Future Smart Food and showcasing stories of how Future Smart Food can increase production and nutrition diversity while contributing to livelihoods and climate resilience in an interactive and participatory manner.

The event was held on the occasion of the Global Event on Accelerating the End of Hunger and Malnutrition of the Food and Agriculture Office (FAO) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Metta's participation showcased the recipes developed by women farmers who participated in farmer field schools (FFS) on neglected and underutilized species (NUS) under its project 'Sowing Diversity=Harvesting Security.'
