Policy Advocacy Officer
SEARICE is looking for an experienced and committed Policy Advocacy Officer with the
following job description and qualifications:
Job Description
The Policy Advocacy Officer conducts policy research and analysis, write popular papers based
on the research and analysis, and helps design and implement policy advocacy campaigns, action
plans, and strategies in relation to specific issues and themes, particularly on Farmers’ Rights,
Intellectual Property Rights, Climate Change, and related matters. She/he is assigned primary
themes and policies to handle but also assists Project Officers and SEARICE partners in the
conduct of activities and delivery of policy results. SEARICE’s policy advocacy work covers the
local country, regional, and international levels.
Qualifications

Graduate of political science or any four-year course with law units
-
Knowledgeable and with proven track record in agriculture/environment-related policy and farmers’ rights issues
-
With one or two years of relevant experience
-
With good writing and communication skills
-
Can work with minimum guidance and supervision

Can work under pressure

Team player
